PeoplePlus recently presented three successful Jobs Fairs at Bendigo, Ballarat and Sydney, connecting people to local employers, local services and local jobs. In light of previous Jobs Fairs, the PeoplePlus team was ready and raring for several big events, and 2019 did not disappoint.

The 2019 PeoplePlus Bendigo Jobs Fair was held on Tuesday, 14 May at Bendigo Library while the 2019 Ballarat Jobs Fair was held at The Mining Exchange on Thursday, 16 May. With our network of employers exhibiting at our event, there were over 700 people who attended these events to scope out employment opportunities and to network with community contacts. The first few hours of the Fair focused on employers and exhibitors engaging with the hundreds of seekers that visited the venue, providing an excellent opportunity for the community to connect and help to create better futures for each other.

Our Jobs Fair was a win-win situation for both employers and job seekers. For employers, it offered an opportunity to generate a large number of prospects in a short period of time. It also provided a mechanism for conducting initial screening of those prospects. For job seekers, our jobs fair was an opportunity to meet with multiple employers on the same day.

Lunch time saw a festive BBQ with delicious smallgoods provided by DONs along with espresso coffee served throughout the day provided by our friends at genU.

The 2019 Sydney Jobs Fair was held at the Hurstville Entertainment Centre on May 22, 2019 and was a huge hit, with over 1200 people attended our event, and exhibitors collecting 100s of resumes and applications for numerous job opportunities across Sydney.

A big thanks goes out to all our employers for their support and participation.

“The level of enthusiasm and effort from our exhibitors was second-to-none, and in combination with keen job seekers, it made for a truly meaningful and impactful event,” Tina said.

Local collaboration for better futures is what our events are all about and PeoplePlus would like to thank everyone who attended our events as well as local businesses, employment services providers, apprenticeship providers, labour hire companies and training providers who joined us throughout these events.
