Father’s Day is a chance to reflect on the role fathers play in shaping the lives of their children and the example they set at work and at home. At Asuria, we celebrate the whole person, not just the job title.
This Father’s Day, we sat down with two of our colleagues, Christopher Hutch, Student Experience Manager, and Deepak Rachwani, Financial Accountant, to hear their experiences of fatherhood, how it shapes their work, and the lessons they hope to pass on to their children.
Showing up in the moments that count – Christopher Christopher is a dad to Indiana, and for him, Father’s Day is all about celebrating the positive influence fathers can have on their children’s lives. That influence, he says, comes from being present in both the big and small moments, whether it is attending school events, cheering her on at an Easter hat parade, or enjoying simple time together at home.
In his role, Christopher values the flexibility and encouragement he receives from his colleagues and leaders at Asuria. Their support means he does not have to miss out on important milestones in his daughter’s life. It also gives him the chance to share his workplace with her, something Indiana has enjoyed so much she now asks to do it more often.
Life at home is far from quiet. Long dinners, constant reminders, and no chance of a sleep-in are all part of the weekly routine. Yet amid the challenges, Christopher says his daughter is at the heart of his happiest memories. Fatherhood has taught him patience and a deeper appreciation of different perspectives, both of which he applies in his work. He is also learning the importance of stepping back, letting Indiana solve problems on her own, even when it is tempting to step in. He explains, “I hope to instil resilience and self-reliance, being helpful and generally a positive influence on those around her.”
Finding Gratitude in Fatherhood – Deepak Deepak is a proud dad to his young daughter, who he fondly calls his “cute little angel.” For him, Father’s Day is a time to pause and appreciate not only the joy of being a father but also the lessons he learns through her every day. She is his stress-buster, the one who keeps him grounded, and the person he looks forward to seeing most when the workday ends.
Since becoming a father, Deepak has experienced a shift in the way he sees himself and others. He feels more responsible and more caring towards the people around him, and he has developed a stronger ability to plan ahead and carry things through. These qualities, he says, have made him both a better parent and a stronger professional. Fatherhood has also encouraged him to step out of his shell, opening him up to experiences and perspectives he may not have embraced before.
Deepak is grateful that Asuria’s culture supports this balance between work and home, giving him the space to succeed in both without compromise. That support, he says, has been vital in allowing him to be the kind of father he wants to be. When he looks to the future, his hopes for his daughter are clear. “I want to bring my daughter up with good values where she learns to respect and help people and, most importantly, to enjoy life without worrying about little things that do not matter.”
At Asuria, we’re proud to support our people in bringing their whole selves to work, knowing that who they are as parents, partners, and role models is just as important as the jobs they do.
This Father’s Day, we celebrate all the dads at Asuria and beyond, and the countless ways they influence the lives of their children, their teams, and their communities.
