Leading Employment Services Provider to Empower Norfolk Island Job Seekers with Tailored, Community-Driven Support from July 1, 2025
Asuria has been appointed by the Australian Government to deliver the Norfolk Island Employment Support Program (NIESP) starting July 1, 2025. The 3-year program will provide tailored, person-centred employment services to support individuals located on Norfolk Island, including those with disability, parents, mature-aged, youth and long-term unemployed, in securing sustainable and meaningful employment, while addressing the unique social, economic, and cultural needs of the island’s community.
Administered by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, NIESP aims to enhance employment opportunities for Norfolk Island residents through comprehensive support services, bringing together the existing Employment Services (Norfolk Island), Disability Employment Services (DES), and the VET Assistance Financial Initiative into a single, integrated program delivered by Asuria.
Asuria has operated on Norfolk Island for over 9 years and is recognised as a trusted provider, valued for its strong community connections and commitment to delivering meaningful, localised employment support.

Asuria will support individuals by:
- Enhancing employability through skills development, training, and tailored career advice
- Addressing barriers to employment and education, and identifying future career or study goals
- Providing access to online resources and financial assistance for higher education and vocational training
Asuria will support employers by:
- Tailoring recruitment and retention support to meet workforce needs
- Connecting employers with job-ready candidates, including for apprenticeships and traineeships
- Promoting inclusive employment practices and building confidence in hiring people with disability
